The Slocan Valley Housing Society will host a Community Open House on the new affordable housing project in Slocan on Wednesday, May 8 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Slocan Legion (502 Harold St, Slocan).

Drop by, have some refreshments and take in the information provided on the proposed site design and general housing type planned for the site across from WE Graham School, north of the tennis courts between Harold and Hume Streets. The Society has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Village of Slocan for a long-term lease for the site.
“We’re in the concept phase of the designs. We want to check in with the community about where we are at and get their feedback. We also want to provide information on our Society and our track-record in the Valley, who the housing will be for, and what sized homes we will be providing to the community,” said Sally Mackenzie, Chair of the Society.
