A huge show of community support came with the three-day Hike or Bike for Housing, on the Slocan Valley Heritage Rail Trail from Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2016. Over 90 hikers and bikers, with as many support workers and helpers, did the trek and raised more than $40,000.
